ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSIVENESS

Our website text has been enlarged to accommodate people with visual impairment.

If there is anything more we can do to help provide you with a smoother experience, please let us know.

In the past, we have not actively marketed our activities to people with disabilities. The reason for this is that we are still learning how to adapt our sessions to be more inclusive for individuals of all ages and abilities. However, this shouldn’t prevent you and others from joining in and having fun!

If you or your clients have any disabilities or difficulties, please contact us through our contact form to discuss options.

  • Provide who you are?

  • What you are looking for and want to achieve?

  • Who is it for?

  • What your / their disability is?

Please give us as much information as possible to work with and we will do our best to see if we can tailor a session just for you / them?

We are not experts in this particular field, but will do our best to be inclusive and provide support where needed and ensure you have an amazing experience with us.

Access to Avon Valley Farm

Access to our area is quite simple. Please follow the instructions on our confirmation email. When driving down the drive way of Avon Valley Farm, there on the left is our car park and the activities are all within walking distance. Our main area is on a flat grassy pitch of land with various activities all close together. This is in an open area. We have shelters for our archery range and our air rifle and paintball shooting ranges. Our axe throwing is in a wide open area which has parking right next to the entrance.

Our car park is layered with hardcore and gravel, while most of our ranges are woodchip. This is not ideal for wheelchair users, but we are looking to install ground panels in the future.

Changing rooms for watersports are at the far end of the field, but access to our slipway is currently not wheelchair friendly at this point in time and we apologise for any inconvienance.

Who can Participant?

Anyone who is motivated enough to have a go, we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you are a wheelchair user, amputee, visually impaired, hearing impairment etc, We will do our best to tailor our activity to accommodate as best as we can. Please contact us first to discuss options and let's see what we can offer you.

Please provide us with information about yourself and what you want to achieve? If special arrangements are required, please let us know in advance and we will take reasonable steps to assist you.

Background on the types of people we have had participating in our activities:

We have a number of people from deaf, blind community and wheelchair users participating in Battle Archery (it's like paintballing, but with bow and safe arrows),

We have regular weekly clients with various mental / learning, and physical disabilities attending our archery sessions

We've even had an amputee doing stand up paddleboarding with us.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
