ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSIVENESS

For information on our Covid-19 Protocol. Please click here.

Our website text has been enlarged to accommodate people with visual impairment.

If there is anything more we can do to help provide you with a smoother experience, please let us know.

In the past, our activities have not been marketed to people with disabilities. Why is this? Because we are still learning about how to adapt our sessions to become more inclusive for people of all ages and abilities. This shouldn't stop you and anyone from joining in and having some fun?!

If you or your clients do have any disabilities or difficulties, please contact us through our contact form to discuss options?

  • Provide who you are?

  • What you are looking for and want to achieve?

  • Who is it for?

  • What your / their disability is?

Give us as much information as possible to work with and we will do our best to see if we can tailor a session just for you / them?

We are not experts in this particular field, but will do our best to be inclusive and provide support where needed and ensure you have an amazing experience with us.

Our main area is on a flat grassy pitch of land with various activities all close together. This is in an open area. We have shelters for our archery range and our air rifle and paintball shooting ranges. Our axe throwing is in a wide open area which has parking right next to the entrance.

Changing rooms for watersports are at the far end of the field, but access to our slipway is currently not wheelchair friendly at this point in time and we apologise for any inconvienance.

Who can Participant?

Anyone who is motivated enough to have a go, we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you are a wheelchair user, amputee, visually impaired, hearing impairment etc, We will do our best to tailor our activity to accommodate as best as we can. Please contact us first to discuss options and let's see what we can offer you.

Please provide us with information about yourself and what you want to achieve? If special arrangements are required, please let us know in advance and we will take reasonable steps to assist you.

Background on the types of people we have had participating in our activities:

We have do as much as we can to include people and so far we've had a number of people from deaf, blind community and wheelchair users participating in Battle Archery (it's like paintballing, but with bow and safe arrows),

We have a lot of people with various mental / learning disabilities who have join in our archery and axe throwing sessions.

We've even had an amputee doing stand up paddleboarding with us.

All of these helped us to improve our procedures, safe guarding and even our activities to make them more accessible to everyone.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome but must follow our safety rules and must not enter the gamezone, shooting zones or throwing zone without the instructor's permission.

Children between 8 and 17 years old, a parent or Guardian must remain on site and in proximity during their session. No wondering off please as we are an active centre and there are many build projects still underway as well as tractors passing through the site everyday.

Dogs On-Site

Dogs are welcome on our location, but must be on a leash to stop them from running into our shooting range. Please ensure the dog is kept on a lead and not left roaming around as there are tractors, cars, and other moving vehicles moving around as well as other clients engaged in activities.

There is plenty of free parking on site. If you have any mobility issues, please contact us and we will allow you to park nearer to your activity.
